The game overall is pretty fun. The controls are quite easy, and you're always given new tasks, so it never gets boring.
Different Yet Fun...Funny Even
The Sims 2: Castaway
Once I saw this game online after purchasing my psp 3000 I was over joyed being a sims fan and new to the psp, the excitment rushed in.
Nothing like I expected even from reading some of the reviews. It had me playing for hours, only set back was the lag from loading sometimes but loved it loved it loved it. Can you imagine actually being stranged on an island, I am not sure about anyone but I would be scared out of my mind. The Survival Guides made it some what of a challenge as in trying to figure out "where do i find" and intriguing with all the objectives. My most fun objective was building the shelters and making clothing.
The only thing is I thought I would get to Whoo-hoo before I got rescued. But no luck and I didn't have the patients trying to get the other sex interested. Too busy trying to stay alive. Well the cruise ship and getting back to civilization didn't wow me as much as being in the jungle. You can say I am a tazan kinda girl, growing up on an island.
I must admit they were very creative with the items, wish I could get a feel for the type of research that went into the game really incredible and realistic.
Thumbs up to the design team, another sims wonder...hoping sims 3 for psp is just as good however looking forward to it on pc.
The castaway time game!
I played this for two weeks. It is slow not alot going on not much of a story line. Even if you make other payers on the island you don't get alot of time with them your friend on this game are monkeys and it's not very cool. The best part of the whole game is you get to give monkeys hugs don't get this there are no fun parts and it takes forever to do any thing and the chacters are always tired or have to eat or have to go to the bathroom you can't even play the game with out have to sleep every 20 min. I will not say buy this I will say I was very unimpressed with the game over all.

i bought this game even though a lot of people said the loading time was slow and interrupted the game too often. there were no problems loading for me and the game was very fun. i still have to say that i have a PSP 3000 and i also have firmware version 5.02. if you have a PSP 2000 i would not recommend you to buy this. otherwise if you have a PSP 3000 i think you will enjoy this! i hope this review was helpful to your contemplation of buying, The Sims 2: Castaway.
