Ok, but unecessarily hard
I rented this game to test it out prior to buying it and I was glad that I did. Although there are many parts to the game that I liked - collecting coins to buy new clothes and such was fun for the kids - the actual game play I thought was too hard. There are several areas where we felt it was impossible not to lose your ball in the water or other hazard and other areas that had my 4 yr old in tears and me and my wife frustrated because a course was just not something a child could play w/o constant help. You start out with one area where the courses are - theoretically - easier, but that's not how we felt. Unless you really desire to unlock all kinds of different clothes or putters, the game seems kind of pointless to me.

Mini golf is not mini on fun-
We enjoy playing this game. It is a great family game, our 4 year old and 7 year old enjoy playing this game as much as we do. It is nice to play a game the whole family enjoys and can play together (4 player mode). The mini games inside the courses are a nice addition.

Creative but Challenging EVEN for Adults
Carnival Games MiniGolf has awesome boards BUT it is very challenging even for adults. Even the beginners holes are very difficult to get a hole in one or even a par on them. Sometimes the game is more frustrating then fun.
Cons: A lot of the boards have no skill to them BUT they are more luck based. Here are some examples of what I mean by that: in one of courses you have to chose the correct path out of about 7 paths or your ball goes off course and into the lava, in another course you have to hit the ball into a flower by bouncing it off of a ramp and into another flower below or you have to start all over OR there is always another course that you have to break the eggs in order to find the hole which is almost impossible to do in only a few tries. There is no easy way to hit the ball...it's either you barely hit it or you hit it too hard. The narrator is also very annoying throughout the game.
Pros: The game boards are very creative and imaginative. You can unlock more game courses and items. You can play with more than one person and the graphics are decent. There are also some mini games that you can play within some of the courses which is different and fun.
Overall I give this game 3 stars. It's a decent game for the price But it could use some work. I suggest renting this game first to see if you and your family like it enough before you buy it.

I wanted to love it, but I just dont feel it...
I recieved this game as a gift, and was excited to play it. I enjoyed fully the first "LAND", but after that, I was quite dissapointed. The gameplay is not easy at all. Some of the coursed are almost impossible to get a decent score, and forget about scorring coins...your lucky to get 1 or 2 per hole. Some courses there is no skill, just luck, which bothers me to no end. Which means it takes forever to buy stuff from the pro shop. I did enjoy the feature in which you can wager items against another player, but I only have a small handfull of items to wager... I just wish it was easier to play. I get so frustrated I wanna throw my remote...So for repeated play, this game just dosent have it.
